Natick Diner Tabbed As 1 Of America's Best

NATICK, MA — Some establishments stand the test of time, but that's especially important for a community when it comes to restaurants.

That's why Natick residents will be happy to see that a local classic has been including on a list of America's best classic diners by a popular food blog.

LoveFood compiled a list of classic diners, and included Casey's Diner, the longstanding establishment at 36 South Ave.

The Worcester lunch car has been serving diner staples out of a 10-stool dining car since 1922, as the story goes.

LoveFood writers particularly enjoy the establishment's hotdogs.

The writeup reads:

"Believed to be one of America’s oldest diners still in operation, Casey’s 10-stool dining car has been serving customers since 1922, although it began life as a horse-drawn wagon 32 years before that. It has a long wooden bar, classic diner stools, retro floor tiles, and a bun steamer that pre-dates the diner by around 30 years. People come to experience a slice of history and to try Casey’s famous steamed hot dogs – get yours 'all around,' with relish, onions, and mustard."
