Natick Fast Food Health Inspections
The Board of Health re-inspects all food establishments within three weeks to ensure that violations have been corrected. Failure to correct violations within the allotted time can result in increased enforcement actions.

Editor's Note: the following information was provided by the Natick Board of Health and lists the name of the establishment, its address, date of inspection and the statements and notes that were made during inspections.
Au Bon Pain
1245 Worcester St.
Sept. 11
Violations found: didn't have ServSafe certification posted, lacked allergen advisory, lacked chokesaver certification, unlabeled spray bottles, lacked a cover on the trash in the ladies room, the manager didn't know how to calibrate the thermometer and one of the cooks was wearing a watch.

The ServSafe, allergen and spray bottle violations were considered critical violations.
Cajun Cafe

Violations found: the steam table temperature wasn't high enough (hot holding for food was too low) and the area underneath the prep table was dirty.
The temperature issue was considered a critical violation.
D'Angelo Grilled Sandwiches

Four violations were found at D'Angelo, three of which were considered critical. The critical violations were: the temperature of the hot holding for the meatballs was too low, the ice machine drop plate needed to be sanitized and the sink by the meat slicer lacked a splash guard. D'Angelo also didn't have a choke saver certificate posted.

Five Guys had only one violation: they lacked a choke saver certificate.
Kelly's Roast Beef

Kelly's had three critical violations: the sanitizer was too strong, unlabeled spray bottles and the consumer advisory on the menu needed to be reformatted.
Kelly's also didn't have a choke saver, the floor was worn in the prep area, the freezer walls needed cleaning and the men's employee restroom lacked a handwashing sign.
Master Wok

Master Wok had five critical violations: a cook was observed touching his ear and then handling food without washing his hands, a hand sink was obstructed, there was an unlabeled sanitizer container, there was some cross-contamination (raw eggs were stored above cooked food) and the ice machine needed to be sanitized.
Master Wok also lacked a choke saver and were using improper cooling methods.
McDonald's
290 Worcester St.
Jan. 9
McDonald's had two critical violations: the ladies room sink was too cold (68 degrees) and the sanitizer concentration was too strong.
McDonald's also had a problem with a refrigerator needing a door replaced (it was taped down) and a kitchen employee was wearing a loose bracelet.

The only violation found at McDonald's was that the working thermometers were missing, but the temperature was correct.

Four critical violations were found at McDonald's: they were lacking the ServeSafe posting, there was a cross-contamination issue in which gloves were touching raw and cooked meat, chemicals were being stored above the sanitize sink and they were not practicing the proper time as public health control.
McDonald's also lacked a choke saver certificate.

The only violation found at Moe's was the sanitizer was too strong.

Subway had one critical violation: the cold holding temperatures weren't equally distributed.

Wendy's had one critical violation: there were no paper towels at the hand sink.
