Natick Fire Dept. Looks To Taxpayers For New Station

A question is headed to the town ballot that would include a debt exclusion for a new West Natick fire station.

NATICK, MA—Natick's Fire Department may finally get the new station it has been hoping for, but will look to the town's taxpayers to fund it.

Natick's Board of Selectmen this week voted unanimously to include a debt exclusion question on the ballot in November, according to reports. The exclusion, which temporarily increases taxes to pay down a debt, would add to the current budget to pay for the $15.6 million West Natick Fire Station project, as reported on Firehouse News.

If the ballot question passes, it would also move to Town Meeting for a vote.
