Natick Healthcare Corp. Receives Bronze Award

1. The American Healthcare Association/National Center for Assisted Living, AHCA/NCAL, recently honored Lisa Kubiak, Executive Director of Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center in Natick with a Bronze National Quality Award at its annual Meeting in Phoenix on Oct. 6.

The AHCA/NCAL National Quality Award Program offers a path for providers of long term care services to strive for performance excellence. The program is based on the core values and criteria of the Aldridge Performance Excellence Program.

“We are honored to receive this award and will continue to implement our improvement system. Our facility is committed to meeting the needs of each resident as an individual and our goal is to receive all three awards in the future,” said Kubiak.

The Quality Award program has three progressive levels which include Bronze, Silver and Gold. 

Bronze is for commitment to quality recipients demonstrated their ability to implement a performance improvement system in addition to displaying their commitment to enriching the lives of their residents through improved quality care. Mary Ann Morse Healthcare Center was one of 350 facilities to receive the Bronze level award this year.

2. Help is needed on Nov. 4-5 after school at Wilson Middle School from 2:05-3 p.m. to help with the Magazine Drive. Any eight-grade student who is willing to help will receive community service hours. The Wilson PTO is looking for 10 eighth-grade students to help out both days. Thursday: Spooky clouds are still with us. Peek-a-boo sun and a mild, ghastly southerly wind developing in the afternoon. Passing shower possible, but many dry hours. Highs in the low 60s! Mid/upper 50s for the little little ghosts and goblins! Hold on to those bags of candy in the wind.

Friday: Mild, windy and wet with soaking showers likely. Highs near 70. South wind howls!! Gusts could be 40-45mph!! Wind breaks off early afternoon, with some peeks of sun possible late.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy. Some showers creep back to SE Mass and the Cape. Near 60.
