Natick Lottery Player Wins $1 Million

A Powerball player from Massachusetts got a piece of the $1.8 billion jackpot over the weekend.

NATICK, MA — A lottery player in Massachusetts won $1 million in the Saturday Powerball drawing.

The Powerball ticket was purchased at a 7-Eleven in Natick, lottery records show.

This ticket was part of the Powerball's second-largest jackpot, which saw winners in Texas and Missouri split the $1.787 billion winnings.

NBC News reports that the winners will be able to choose one of two ways to claim their share of the jackpot: an annuitized prize of $893.5 million or a lump-sum payment of $410.3 million.

The annuitized prize would come in 30 payments over a 29-year span, NBC said.
