Natick Police Department is Boston Strong Thanks to Local Donation

One local family, lead by their son, has donated magnets and wristbands to the department.

When the Boston Marathon bombing occurred on April 15, Natick residents Kerri Ann and Jacob Tobin were watching the Marathon just one block from the finish line.

The mother and son were unhurt, but since then Jacob has taken it upon himself to support the one fund and the local law enforcement agencies that protect the citizens from everyday dangers and the terror attacks he witnessed that day in Boston.

Jacob's father, Matt, happens to be the owner of Boston Souvenir Distributors and when Jacob heard that the company was donating Boston Strong magnets to the city of Newton he wanted to bring that thought to Natick.

On Monday evening Jacob and his family went to the Natick Police Department where Jacob gave Chief Hicks magnets for the cruisers and wristbands for department personnel to wear.

Detective Delehanty “we will proudly display" the magnets and wear the wristbands.

Jacob's next endeavor is a lemonade stand to support the One Fund Boston. Jacob and his friends will also be selling Boston Strong items and playing games at their Coachman Lane stand, with all proceeds going to the One Fund Boston.

To help Jacob and help those impacted by the Boston Marathon Bombing you can visit the stand from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
