Natick schools will receive $25,000 to fight obesity and promote healthy lifestyles.

Natick Public Schools will receive a $25,000 grant to fight obesity and promote physical activity.
Tufts Health plan and ChildObesiety 180 selected Natick as a regional winner of the grant as a way to reward schools that have "creative, impactful, and scalable school-based programs and technologies to promote children’s physical activity," a press release from Tufts said.
“This grant will be used to create programs that will encourage a healthy lifestyle and stave off childhood obesity that causes so many avoidable health issues,” Natick Public Schools Superintendent Peter Sanchioni said in the release.
