Natick Starts Hydrant Flushing Monday

Hydrant flushing starts Monday and will continue for several weeks during the "overnight hours" Monday through Thursday, officials said.

NATICK, MA — Hydrant flushing will resume on Monday October 9 and will continue for several weeks during the overnight hours Monday through Thursday. The flushing schedule will be updated here on a daily basis. Automated alerts are also available via our FREE WaterSmart Program. Link below.

Hydrant flushing is an essential process in the maintenance of all potable water systems. The appearance of discolored water may occur in your area. If you notice discolored water in the morning, it can be removed by running cold water through the faucet closest to your water meter for 20 minutes.
