Natick Students Honored for Participating in Harvard-MIT Math Tournament

John Tatian, Michael Shliselberg, Adam Podtburg and Ashley Lemnios have been named Natick High Schools Students of the Week.

On Nov. 9, four Natick High School students participated for the first time in the annual Harvard-MIT Math Tournament. They are: seniors John Tatian, Michael Shliselberg, Adam Podtburg, and junior Ashley Lemnios.

For their efforts, they have been named the NHS Students of the Week.

This tournament for high school students, the most difficult of its kind, is held twice a year (November and February) with more than 800 students participating from around the world.

November's focus was on problems in algebra, geometry, probability, and number theory. February's focus will be on proofs.
