Natick Tesla Protest One Of Hundreds Across Country

The protest was held the same day as one in Watertown, where two people were injured after being struck by a truck's side mirror.

NATICK, MA — Protesters gathered outside of the Tesla dealership at the Natick Mall on Saturday in protest of Elon Musk and what they called his "assault on democracy."

"On March 29, residents from Framingham and Natick will be exercising their first amendment right to peacefully protest against the actions of an unelected billionaire seeking to take over our government.

With unchecked access to government data - including Americans’ private tax records - and the systematic dismantling of regulatory agencies, Elon Musk has seized unprecedented control over federal decision-making. His $250 million donation to Trump only deepens the corruption, tightening his grip on power despite glaring conflicts of interest."

The protest was organized by the Metro Boston Indivisible Coalition, with participation from Boros and Beyond Indivisible and local residents, officials said.

Watertown

Two people were injured during a Tesla protest over the weekend when the side mirror of a truck struck them, police said.

Police said the protest took place on Pleasant Street in front of the Tesla dealership there.

Officers on the scene assisted the injured parties and "identified the suspect," police said.

"Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported, and both victims refused medical treatment at the scene," police said.

An investigation is ongoing, and police have asked for anyone with additional information to contact them.
