Natick Trust Claims Winning Lotto Ticket Just Days Before It Expires
A Natick resident won the "Lucky for Life" drawing in May 2023. The ticket was unclaimed until this week, just three days before it expired.
NATICK, MA — Good things come to those who wait, even if there isn't, necessarily, a reason to wait.
The Retirement Trust of Natick has claimed a $25,000 a year for life prize won in the multi-state "Lucky for Life" drawing that took place on May 17, 2023.
The winning ticket was set to expire on Friday, which prompted curiosity — and probably concern — from people in the area who thought they may witness hundreds of thousands of dollars go unclaimed.

The trust, represented by trustee Luke Bean, claimed its prize Tuesday at Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters in Dorchester. The prize will be delivered in the form of a one-time payment of $390,000, before taxes.
The winning "Quic Pic" ticket, which matched the first five numbers selected in the drawing, was purchased at J Convenience Store & Laundromat, 229 N. Main St., in Natick.

The store receives a $5,000 bonus for the sale of the ticket.
