Natick's Marion Street Bridge Closes For Repair Work

Construction work is starting on the bridge.

NATICK, MA—The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has announced that the Marion Street Bridge, which carries traffic on Marion Street over the MBTA railroad tracks in Natick, will be closed to all traffic beginning on Monday, July 23, until early August 2018.

This bridge closure is necessary in in order to enable crews and contractors to carry out construction operations on sidewalks and intersections in the area of the bridge, said the announcement. During this closure period, all traffic will be directed to follow the detour signage in place. Pedestrian access across the bridge will be maintained.

This closure is related to the ongoing construction project and will allow crews to accelerate the work schedule and minimize the overall impact on the traveling community.
