Natick's Molly Schaus Named to U.S. Women's Olympic Hockey Team

Goaltender played for Deerfield Academy and Assabet Valley during her high school years.

Former Boston College women's hockey team member Molly Schaus was officially named to the United States women's national hockey team for the Olympic games during a ceremony at today's NHL Winter Classic, USA Today reported.

Schaus graduated from BC in 2011 after taking the 2009-10 year off to participate in the last Winter Olympics in Vancouver, earning a silver medal.

Schaus was born in Voorhees, N.J., but moved to Natick after her freshman year in high school (Benet Academy, Lisle, Ill.).
