New Market Has Plans To Replace Natick Mall Wegmans

NATICK, MA — The former Wegmans space at the Natick Mall may finally have a new occupant.

According to the website for an Asian market called T Market, the grocer is in the process of setting up shop at the 1245 Worcester St. location.

A description of the market listed on the company's website reads:

"T MARKET is a new-generation premium Asian supermarket in the U.S., where traditional Asian food culture meets modern technology. From fresh meats and seafood to produce, pantry staples, ready-to-eat meals, and authentic street food, we offer a curated selection of products and a seamless shopping experience. We bring innovation to the grocery world — with smart checkout systems, self-order kiosks, and contactless shopping tools — reimagining what an Asian supermarket can be."

Natick Report spoke with Leon Yang, an official with the company, who said that in addition to the supermarket aspects, T Market will also have a modern food court with multiple street food vendors.

The report also stated that some officials from the town have been in contact with the business.
