Plymouth South Appeals Natick Playoff Win

The Red Hawks will move on to the Super Bowl after the MIAA denied Plymouth South's appeal.

Plymouth South lost an appeal to dispute their loss to the Natick Red Hawks citing the use of an illegal ball during Natick's 38-33 victory Saturday night, CBS news reports.

The football used by Natick for parts of the game was one not approved by the MIAA, and resulted in a penalty for the Red Hawks during the game.

"Before Tuesday night’s game, Natick asked for, and received, permission from game officials to use a different ball. The error was caught with about four minutes left in the game, and Natick was assessed a 15-yard unsportsmanlike penalty," the article said.
