A new monthly workshop series on topics related to addiction and recovery kicks off this week in Natick.

NATICK, MA—A new monthly workshop series on topics related to addiction and recovery kicks off this week in Natick.
Recognizing & Responding to Signs of Suicide takes place on Monday, March 19, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Natick Community Senior Center.

6:30-7:30 p.m.: Presentation by staff from Call2Talk hotline, made possible by the MetroWest Suicide Prevention Coalition. Individuals with substance use disorders often experience cooccurring mental health disorders, and many family members worry about what to do if they are concerned for their loved one’s safety. Workshop participants will learn how to use QPR: Question, Persuade, Refer, a method for recognizing possible signs of suicide and taking swift action to save a life.
7:30-8:15 p.m.: Naloxone (a.k.a. Narcan) training for individuals with a history of opioid use and their loved ones. Training and naloxone distribution provided by Natick Health Department.

7:30-8:30 PM: Treatment navigation, Recovery Coach information & other resources available.
Treatment navigation and support services will be offered after each workshop.
