Rock Star Peter Wolf Coming to Natick This Week

Here are 5 things to know today in Natick.

1. Rock star Peter Wolf is coming to Natick on Sept. 25 at The Center for Arts in Natick, 14 Summer Street. Best known as the former frontman for the legendary J. Geils Band, Wolf’s sound is a distinctive blend of rock with a touch of soul, as heard in hits like “Centerfold” and “Love Stinks.” In concert, Wolf’s signature swagger and confidence complement his genuine audience connection, whether through story or song. His 2010 album Midnight Souvenirs won Album of the Year at the Boston Music Awards and features duets with Shelby Lynne and Merle Haggard.

He briefly will target: Raising a Student Athlete: Supporting towards Excellence

  • What are your goals and how do you continue to develop them
  • Brief overview of sports being confusing (asked to tryout, not enough teams, etc.)
  • Would expect lots of Q&A at that point
  • What's acceptable - encourage community to deal with it together - not making a team
  • Where is the opportunity for next year??
  • How do I navigate all this (and school...life...etc.)

Parents are invited and we encourage you to bring your students in grades 7-12 to come as well.

Families may donate any amount they would like and an apple with your family's name will be hung in either the lobby or cafeteria for all to see.  You can choose to make a general contribution or a donation to a specific  area. If you are in need of another apple, contact your child's teacher.

Return money by Sept. 27 in an envelope marked Apple Campaign. Checks should be made payable to Lilja PTA. You can send cash, too.
