Thousands in Damage in Sunday Fire

Fire officials report no one was injured in a Sunday night fire believed to have been sparked by an electrical short.

A fire at 93 Mill St. Sunday night that was believed to have been caused by an electrical short was put out quickly by firefighters.

“They arrived to find heavy fire and smoke showing," said Natick Fire Department Chief James Sheridan. "They advanced an attack line and quickly put the fire out”

Fire department officials reported flames were extinguished around 9:30 p.m. No one was injured in the fire, said Sheridan.

Reports were still coming in on the fire Monday, but he said that thousands of dollars in damage was done to the home.

“There was a lot of smoke and water damage but again no one was hurt,” said Sheridan. “It was believed to have started from an electrical short."
