Attempted Tire Thieft, A Noisy Neighbor: Needham Police Log

May 9
6:00 p.m. - An officer responded to an Oakland Avenue address for a report of a piece of lost property. A report was taken from the residents and the area where the item was lost was searched with negative results.

May 12
10:29 p.m. - An officer responded to the Lincoln Street municipal parking lot for a report of an attempted tire theft. The matter is currently under investigation.

May 14
10:00 a.m. - A Chambers Street resident came to the police station to report that he is having a problem with one of his neighbors. The person stated that his neighbor is banging on his walls at all times of the day and night. The neighbor was spoken to and the Needham Housing Authority was notified.
6:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a Charles River Street address for a report of identity fraud. The matter is currently under investigation.
11:45 pm. - An officer stopped a vehicle in the area of Highland Avenue and Wexford Street. A check of the vehicle's status through the RMV revealed it to be unregistered and the registered owner had a suspended license. The operator, a 28-year-old Needham man was cited and issued a summons for operating with a suspended license and having an unregistered motor vehicle.
May 15
3:44 p.m. - An officer responded to a Warren Street address for a report of property damage. Upon arrival it appeared a large truck ran over the front yard and caused damage to a town street sign, a portion of the resident's walkway, and several hedges.
May 17
An officer responded to a school building for tire tracks left on the field in the rear of the school. The damage was documented and notifications to the department of public works and parks and recreation department were made.
