Benoit Mizner Simon & Co. Expands to Needham
Local brokers Lisa and Noah Pearlstein, Annie Bauman, Sandy B. Tobin, Paula Callanan, Donna Vona join the real estate company.

From Benoit Mizner Simon & Co.: Benoit Mizner Simon & Co. Real Estate (BMS) is pleased to announce that it has opened its third office, located in Needham, Mass. Principals Debi Benoit, Amy Mizner and Sheryl Simon welcome Lisa and Noah Pearlstein, Needham’s #1 real estate team, and seasoned brokers Annie Bauman, Sandy B. Tobin, Paula Callanan and Donna Vona to the company’s roster of experienced associates who will be working out of the new Needham office. In addition, the following associates currently working out of the Wellesley office will be transferring to the Needham location: Danielle Sammut, Vicky Seriy and Lena Voloshin. Benoit, Mizner and Simon will be hosting a grand opening celebration for the Needham office on Thursday, February 16th at Sweet Basil, adjacent to the new office. BMS Real Estate has dominated the residential luxury market in both Wellesley and Weston since launching in 2010, and is expected to bring the same level of leadership and industry expertise to the town of Needham.
Benoit Mizner Simon & Co.’s third location is located at 936 Great Plain Avenue in the heart of downtown Needham Center. According to sales numbers, BMS is ranked a top real estate firm in the town of Needham even before opening. With the company’s current transactions in Needham, in addition to the new hires’ numbers, BMS will rank amongst the top five real estate companies in town. The Pearlstein Team to date has sold over $138 million in single-family homes in the town of Needham alone.
The BMS principals’ many skillsets include grooming their brokers and providing them with the educational resources to better their careers. “We value mentorship and pride ourselves in helping associates brand their individual talent,” said Amy Mizner. Sandy Balzer Tobin has been a licensed realtor and top producing sales agent for 13 years. She has been the recipient of numerous sales awards throughout the years and brings strong ethics and integrity to her work. Tobin holds advanced real estate degrees, including Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR) and Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI). She is the former editor of the Needham Times and several other local weekly newspapers. “Her background in journalism and community involvement gives Sandy first-hand insight into the Needham community, how it works and what makes it special, and we can’t wait to watch her succeed here,” said Sheryl Simon. Tobin is heavily involved in the town of Needham and has served as an elected Town Meeting member for 25 years.
“Annie Bauman brings industry expertise, exceptional customer service and a tireless commitment to accomplishing her clients’ goals to the Benoit Mizner Simon & Co. team,” said Simon. Bauman joins BMS as a top producer in Needham and Dover, where she resides with her family. Born into the business, Bauman built a solid foundation and understanding of the industry from her father who owned two brokerages in Medfield and Holliston for 25 years. Bauman’s mission is to build a relationship versus transactional business where life-long clients consider her their real estate resource.

With over 27 years of experience in the residential real estate industry, Noah and Lisa Pearlstein have a spot-on understanding of the market and together, a large rolodex of clients and business contacts. Lisa has worked with buyers, sellers and builders for the past eight years in the Metro West area and brings a background in sales and marketing in the software/high tech industry, which is a result of her already high achievements. “One thing that really drew us to Benoit Mizner Simon was the level of professionalism and the innovative marketing that they offer for clients that’s so far superior and different than anything anyone else is offering,” Lisa Pearlstein mentioned. “We think the Needham market thirsts for this advanced approach,” she added.
With a degree in Fire Science and Building Construction through the Massachusetts Fire Academy, Noah has a leg-up on the competition, especially closing new construction transactions. As a real estate professional, Noah is able to share his knowledge about the quality of construction when working with buyers and sellers.

Paula Callanan comes to Benoit Mizner Simon with a 20-year career in real estate sales serving Needham and surrounding communities. Callanan worked in residential real estate development with the Trammell Crow Company in the 1980s and was responsible for luxury condominium and apartment complexes from Philadelphia north. Callanan has been active in the Needham community as a town meeting member, President of The Melick Foundation, Past President of the Needham Women’s Club as well as board positions with NEF, Needham Youth Center and Needham Pool and Racquet Club. Callanan is a Needham native and a graduate of Boston College.
The most recent addition to the BMS team is Donna Vona.
