If the RTS is closed when you go, just wait a few minutes.  <a href="http://needhamma.gov/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=458" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">According to a post on the Needham Town Website</a>, there will be 20 minute periods when the Recycling and Transfer Station is closed for construction efforts from Tuesday to Friday. This is for the new salt shed being built at the facility.  They are not certain when the blasting will occur, but it will be between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on those dates.  If you arrive and the place is closed, you can wait in the parking lot at Claxton Field or try again later.
