Dog Bite, Lost Property: Needham Police Log

The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

May 7

10:05 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Hillside Avenue address for a report of illegal dumping.

10:24 a.m. - An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Highland Avenue for a traffic violation. As a result of the traffic stop, a 38-year-old Brookline man was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license and a marked lanes violation.

An employee from the Division of Professional Licensure contacted the Needham Police about a possible incident of fraud at a Morningside Road address in Needham. A contractor was doing work with a revoked license. At this time a 38-year-old Woburn man will be charged with operating as a contractor or subcontractor without a license.

5:15 p.m. - A person at the police station reported that someone had opened a Verizon wireless account under her name and address. The reporting party received an April statement in Spanish. Verizon cancelled the account at this time.

May 9

9:00 a.m. - An officer initiated a traffic stop on Highland Avenue for an expired registration. The operator of the vehicle stated they did not have a license and a registry query revealed that it was revoked. A 57-year-old Winchendon woman was issued a summons for operating with a revoked license.

6:05 p.m. - An officer responded to an Oakland Avenue address for a report of a piece of lost property. A report was taken from the residents and the area where the item was lost was searched with negative results.

5:30 p.m. - An officer responded to a Greendale Avenue address for a report of a dog bite that had occurred at the Broadmeadow School. The incident is under investigation.
