Election 2018: Candidate Profile Of Kris Aleksov
Patch hears from the Democratic candidate Kris Aleksov in the State Senate race for the Norfolk, Bristol and Middlesex District.

NEEDHAM, — There are three candidates running for the State Senate seat that serves the Norfolk, Bristol and Middlesex District, which includes part of Attleboro, Franklin, Millis, Natick, Needham, Norfolk, North Attleborough, Plainville, Sherborn, Wayland, Wellesley and Wrentham.
Patch reached out to all of the candidates with a series of questions to help introduce voters to those candidates. This is part of a series of candidate profiles we will publish leading up to the primaries in September and the general election in November.
Today we introduce readers to Wayland's Kris Aleksov, one of three Democrats running for the seat currently held by Republican Richard Ross. Aleksov is running against Jacqueline Katz of Norfolk and Colin Meiselman of Wayland. Aleksov is a Juris Doctor and has been an attorney for six years. He was also a 2016 Democratic nominee for Norfolk, Bristol and Middlesex Senate. His campaign website is here.

All of the candidates were asked the same questions. We are publishing their answers to selected questions as they were submitted to us, with some editing for space and style considerations.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it. It's held by a Republican and I intend to unseat him.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post? I am the only candidate who has demonstrated the ability to win in November.
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)? The #1 complaint I hear about Richard Ross is that he does very little for the people who need him the most.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform: Preserving the middle class and reforming our court system.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job? I started my own law practice after passing the bar and balanced that with running a great campaign last election cycle.
The best advice ever shared with me was ... From poverty to wealth is a troublesome journey, but the way back is easy.
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions? That if you want meaningful change in your government, I am the candidate who can bring it.
