4. Event highlight
The Walker Trieschman Institute is proud to present Harvard Professor Dan Kindlon, Ph.D., as the next featured speaker in the ongoing Distinguished Author Series. Dr. Kindlon will speak from 4:30 to 6 p.m. in the Roche Center on Walker's Needham campus at 1968 Central Ave., Needham. A professor in the Harvard School of Public Health, Dr. Dan Kindlon is a clinical and research psychologist specializing in behavioral problems of children and adolescents. In over 20 years of clinical practice - consisting of psychotherapy, neuropsychological evaluation and school consultation - Dr. Kindlon has focused on the diagnosis and treatment of emotional problems, learning disabilities and attention deficit disorders. He is the author of the New York Times bestseller Raising Cain: Protecting the Emotional Life of Boys. To register, go to walkerschool.org/authorseries. Teachers can earn 1.5 PDPs by attending this lecture, and social workers can earn 1.5 CEUs. Registration fee is $20 for non-Walker teachers/social workers.
