Monday Essentials: Froyo Funding, Hair and Mocktails

Five things you need to know for the week ahead in Needham and Wellesley, on August 5, 2013.

1. Monday looks to be sunny, bright, and warm. A high of 73ºF, a low of 49ºF in the mostly clear evening, according to the National Weather Service. You may also feel some breezes up to 8 mph. 

2. Wellesley Free Library is hosting its book group tonight, andthey are looking at the book "Admission" by Jean Hanff Korelitz. The book was recently made into a film starring Tina Fey. The book group meets at the library at 7 p.m. Monday!

3. Need an excuse to grab some FroYo? From 5 to 9 p.m., thenewly-opened Orange Leaf in Needham is running a fundraiser for the Needham Sharks swim team. They plan do to fundraisers regularly, and tonight 15 percent of your purchase goes to the swimmers. 

4. If you already know what to expect when you're expecting, come and grab a tasty mocktail and some snacks at Magic Beans' mocktail party for expectant mommies. 5. Boston Children's Theatre is bringing a Wellesley kid to the stage, in "Hair"--the musical that brought us "Aquarius" and "Let the sun shine in." She and the rest of her cast go on stage Friday and Saturday night at 8 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m. at The Governor’s Academy (1 Elm Street in Byfield).
