Needham Girls Soccer to Play Algonquin in State Title Game

The Needham High School girls varsity soccer team advanced to the state championship game Tuesday for the first time since 1985.
The Lady Rockets knocked off Lincoln-Sudbury in the State Division 1 semi-finals to advance to the championship round.

Needham posted two goals in their victory over Lincoln-Sudbury, while allowing no goals against. The game was played at Brockton High School.
Algonquin High School is now the lone team standing between Needham and a State Division 1 crown. The two sides will play on Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m. from Manning Field in Lynn.

The Lady Rockets defeated Whitman-Hanson last week to capture the South Division 1 regional championship. They finished the regular season with a record of 16-0-2.
