A Needham man was ticketed for violating local noise laws after police responded to a large party in Amherst during UMass homecoming weekend.Police were called to a home at 27 Greenwich Road just after midnight on Saturday. Police said 100 guests were at the party.The home's resident, a 20-year-old man from Needham, was give a $300 ticket for violating the town's noise bylaw, police said.

Police were called to a home at 27 Greenwich Road just after midnight on Saturday. Police said 100 guests were at the party.

The home’s resident, a 20-year-old man from Needham, was give a $300 ticket for violating the town’s noise bylaw, police said.
