Needham Police Log: Punch in the Face, Stolen Stuff and More

• A business on Chapel Street received suspicious phone calls from a man, at about 12:30 p.m.
• An employee reportedly punched his employer in the face, and was threatening to break the windows of the business. At about 4:30 p.m., police arrested and charged Tito Arroyo, 26, of Springfield for disturbing the peace, assault-and-battery and assault with a dangerous weapon--a broom stick.
• A past larceny was reported at about 7:30 p.m. at a home on Pythias Circle.

• Some time between 10 p.m. Friday and 5 a.m. on Saturday, several vehicles on Central Avenue were broken into near the Newton town line. Police are investigating. 
• In Needham Square, police did a RMV check which showed the vehicle was unregistered. Police determined that the 54-year-old Dedham resident was issued a summons for driving an unregistered vehicle at about 10:30 a.m. 
• A Newton man's car was broken into some time after midnight while on William Street. Police took the report at about noon. Someone took an iPhone and an iPod from the vehicle, and it is under investigation.
• 2:45 p.m., police took a report of an attempted breaking-and-entering on Pheasant Road. The resident says she saw a white man between 5'8" and 5'10" tall between the ages of 20 and 30 with short brown hair, pale skin and jeans. She says he was attempting to gain access to several areas of the residence. The man was unsuccessful and left, and police are investigating.
• A 24-year-old man from Needham was summonsed to Dedham District Court for several vehicle violations, including speeding, driving to endanger, and marked lanes violations before 8 p.m.

• Police stopped a vehicle on Highland Avenue at the Newton Line before 10 a.m. They learned that the driver had no insurance, and summonsed the 23-year-old Randolph woman for driving an uninsured vehicle, driving a vehicle after revocation, and driving an unregistered car. 
• An employee at Roche Bros. reported that her car was struck in the parking lot at about 3:15 p.m.
• Police took a report of fraudulent activity on a credit card belonging to a Lee Road resident. At about 1:30 p.m., the credit card company canceled the card and the reporting party was advised to put a fraud alert on the accounts.
