Needham Police Log: Rock-Tossing, No Left on Red and More

Thursday, June 20
- 2:30 p.m., police spoke with a Dover resident who says their car was hit while parked in the Lincoln Street lot.
- Vandalism reported on Brookline Street at about 9:15 a.m. Police are investigating.
- A house fire broke out on Stratford Road at about 12:45 p.m. Police assisted the fire department, who report it was contained to the garage and knocked down within minutes.
- After a traffic stop because of an inspection sticker violation, at about 5 p.m. on Highland Avenue at Wexford, police summonsed a 43-year-old Brookline man for the inspection sticker and driving with a suspended license.
- Needham, Norwood and Mass State Police worked together to arrest Donald McMullin, who was on Ardmore Road, on an outstanding warrant for probation violation a little after 1:45 a.m
- After seeing a car cross the center line on Great Plain Avenue a few times, and then make a left turn onto Highland Avenue on a red light, at about 2:15 a.m., police pulled the vehicle over. A 37-year-old Waltham man was summonsed to court for unlicensed driving and a red light violation.
- Some time between 2 and 2:30 p.m., a Newton resident told police that her car was hit while parked in the Trader Joe's lot. Police have no suspects, and the other driver is described as an Asian woman in a red Jeep.
- At about 11:15 p.m., police received a report of a rock thrown at a vehicle on Fourth Avenue near Second Avenue. No one in the car was injured, although police were unable to locate a suspect.
- Police received a vandalism report of a rock thrown at a car on Second Avenue near Fourth Avenue shortly after midnight. The car sustained some minor damage to the right, rear quarter-panel and a search of the area turned up no suspects.
