Masked Needham Man Arrested For Armed Robbery

Kostya Ragin, 20, was arrested in connection to an armed robbery at the Savin Hill MBTA station in Dorchester late Monday night.

A masked Needham man was arrested on an armed robbery charge stemming from an incident at the Savin Hill MBTA station late Monday night, the Suffolk County DA’s office announced.

Kostya Ragin, 19, was arrested around 10 p.m. after allegedly assaulting a man at gunpoint. Adronique Dossantos, 18, of Dorchester, was also arrested in connection to the incident.

Upon arriving at the station, the victim told police he was robbed at gunpoint and provided a description of the suspects. Both men were wearing masks and khaki pants, according to the victim.

Plainclothes officers later located the two male suspects in the area of 68 Pleasant Street. Upon pat frisking the suspects, a replica firearm was recovered from one of the suspects, and a white-face mask was found concealed in each of the suspects’ clothing.

Ragin was charged with armed robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon, and assault and battery. Dossantos was charged with armed robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon. Police also uncovered an active warrant for Dossantos’ arrest.

Ragin and Dossantos were arraigned Tuesday in Dorchester District Court. Both men were held on bail. If the men post bail, they will have to wear GPS devices and adhere to a curfew.

They are both scheduled to return to court on Nov. 24.
