John J. (“Jack”) Curtin Jr., 80, of Needham, formerly of Wellesley, died Nov. 25, 2013.
He was husband of Mary Daly Curtin.
Jack was a past president of both the American Bar Association and the Boston Bar Association. He was involved in numerous charitable organizations. Jack was a longtime Bingham McCutchen LLP partner and former chair of the firm’s Litigation Practice.
He leaves his children Kevin Curtin and his wife Susan Jeghelian of Wellesley, Catherine and her husband Peter Dyroff of Duxbury, Joe and his wife Carolyn of Wellesley, Ann and her husband Paul Carroll of Sherborn and Dan and his wife Kristen of Wellesley; his grandchildren Jaclyn, Mikaela, Paige, John, Daniel, Matthew, Jessica, Francesca, Jack, Luke, Michael, Cammie Grace and Declan; his siblings Maryal Redmond of Rhode Island, Gerard Curtin of Norton and Bernadette Noviasky of Maine and Rhode Island.
Visiting hours at the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., Wellesley, 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2. Funeral 11 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 3, Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola, 28 Commonwealth Ave, Chestnut Hill. Internment at Woodlawn Cemetery, 148 Brook St., Wellesley to follow.
