Phyllis (Girard) Homeyer, 87, passed away Oct. 28, 2013 at the North Hill Retirement Community in Needham.
Daughter of George and Helen Girard, she was born and raised in the Somerville area. She was wife of the late Frank Fuller Homeyer and a resident of Wellesley for over 30 years.
Phyllis retired from the Boston Music Company in 1995 after nearly 50 years of employment.
She is survived by her step-children John Derek Homeyer of Wellesley and Marcia Boysen of Walnut Creek, Calif.; her step-grandchildren Ashley Hammarth, Neal Boysen, Kathy MacLeod and Susan Riedell; her four great-grandchildren; and others. She was pre-deceased by her sister Shirley, step-grandson Jay and great-grandson Nick.
A memorial service will be held Nov. 14 at 2 p.m., at North Hill, 865 Central St., Needham.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boston Children's Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA 02115 or the Wellesley Hills Congregational Church, 207 Washington St., Wellesley Hills, MA 02118.
