Our culinary inspiration and much of our produce come directly from Saltbox Farm, Chef Ben's family farm built in Concord, Massachusetts in the 1940s by his grandparents. With ingredients grown right on the farm, and other local businesses, we are proud to uphold Concord’s agricultural heritage, cultivating a sustainable future. Our team serves the greater Boston area, the Berkshires, Cape Cod, and beyond, including New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine, and Vermont. Monroe, Va. Born in New York City during the depression, Frank enlisted in the Army and rose to the rank of Major. He attended Hobart College and General Theological Seminary.  The Rector of St. James' Episcopal Church, Hyde Park, for 19 years, he also served several Massachusetts' parishes in Boston, Charlestown, North Attleboro, and Needham. He retired to Orleans on Cape Cod, where he opened the Nutrition Shack.  He leaves his children, Marina Goldman and her husband Joshua of Montague, Sam Mawn-Mahlau and his wife Alicia of Winchester, Patricia Mahlau-Heinert and her husband Jerry of Norfolk, Va., Kristen Merryman and her husband Steve of Portland, Ore., and Charles Mars-Mahlau of Portland, Maine; his foster daughter Judith Lane of El Paso, Texas; his eleven grandchildren; his brother Eugene Mahlau of Ossining, N.Y.; and his many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Reynold Mahlau of New York, N.Y.  Burial with military honors was in St. James' Churchyard.  Contributions in lieu of flowers can be made to The Legacy Home for Hospice, The Chamberlin, 2 Fenwick Rd., Apt. 510, Ft. Monroe, VA 23651.
