NEEDHAM, MA — Data compiler Niche has ranked the best school districts in Massachusetts for 2019. The rankings were released this week as part of the website's 2019 K-12 rankings. To arrive at the rankings, Niche looked at data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data, and ratings collected from Niche users. (<a href="https://about.niche.com/methodology/best-school-districts/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">You can read more about the methodology here</a>.) Each district received a letter grade in the following categories: Academics; Diversity; Teachers; College Prep; Clubs &amp; Activities; Health &amp; Safety; Administration; Sports; Food; and Resources &amp; Facilities. Needham didn't move from last year's ranking of 12th best school district in the state. Nearby Newton took the top spot this year.
