Stolen Bike, Refusal To Leave: Needham Police Log

The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

June 11

10:45 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to the area of Broadmeadow Road for the report of a vehicle that had been damaged by a town-owned lawn mower. The incident was documented and all necessary paperwork has been completed.

10:00 a.m. - An officer conducted a traffic stop on a commercial vehicle for speeding. The operator of the vehicle, a 29-year-old Boston man, will be summoned to Dedham District Court for unlicensed operation.

10:15 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Berkshire Road address for the report of identity theft. The incident is under investigation

1:00 p.m - The owner of a Weymouth company reported that one of his employees, a Needham resident, had used one of the company vehicles without his authority. Charges will be sought against a 33-year-old Needham man for use of a motor vehicle without authority.

5:30 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to an Emerson Place address for a report of a larceny of a bicycle. The bike was stolen from the bike rack at the Pollard School. The bike is described as a Viper red Trek Bike. The reporting party stated he saw a young teen boy with blonde hair, who he didn't know, take his bike and ride away on it. A check of the area showed negative results.

June 14

12:40 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to a 2nd Avenue hotel for report of an intoxicated person. The person was placed into protective custody and released to sober family member.

11:45 a.m. - An officer stopped a vehicle on Great Plain Avenue at Chapel Street . The operator, a 60-year old Providence, Rhode Island man, was cited for operating a motor vehicle with revoked registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and unlicensed operation.

12:15 p.m. - An officer was dispatched to a Highland Avenue restaurant for report of a patron refusing to leave. After informing the patron he was trespassing he left the restaurant.
