Stolen Purse, Vandalism: Needham Police Log
The following is from the Needham Police Log. Arrests and charges mentioned don't imply conviction.

August 16
11:00 a.m. - A resident of Whiting Way came to the police station to report a stolen purse. She stated that overnight between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m., her purse had been taken from her vehicle. The purse was a $2,000 Louis Vuitton bag containing her wallet with her license, insurance card, numerous credit and debit cards, and $200 cash. She stated that the vehicle was locked, but she believes she left the driver door open by accident. The incident is under investigation.
5:45 p.m. - An officer conducted a motor vehicle stop on Highland Avenue. As a result of the stop, a 48-year-old Norwood man was issued a summons for operating a motor vehicle with an expired inspection sticker and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

7:00 p.m. - An officer took a walk-in report regarding a past fraud. The matter was documented per the citizen's request and will be provided to the relevant financial institutions.
7:50 p.m. - An officer took a report from a Chambers Street resident regarding a past larceny of a package. The matter is currently under investigation.

5:15 p.m. - A resident of Westwood reported someone stole some money from her vehicle while she was parked in Needham Center. Needham Police checked area cameras for possible suspects.
August 18
8:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a Chestnut Street business for a potentially intoxicated employee. The employee left for the evening and there were no further issues.
10:00 p.m. - An officer responded to a Parker Road address for a report of past vandalism. The reporting party was advised that extra checks of the area would be requested and that the proper agency would be contacted to clean the area affected by the vandalism.
August 19
9:30 a.m. - An officer was dispatched to an address on Broad Meadow Road for a report of a past larceny of a large planter containing flowers.
10:10 p.m. - An officer responded to a 1st Avenue address for a report of possible criminal harassment. The matter is currently under investigation.
