Five Things You Need to Know Today: Sept. 21

A field hockey game, a big school event and the farmers' market is back.

1. One School, One Book. Newton South High School will hold its One School, One Book program today, with a number of special panels and events. Students and staff will discuss A Fault in Our Stars by John Green, a book that the entire school read over the summer. Stay tuned to Patch for coverage from the event!

2. Foreign films. The Newton Senior Center shows foreign films every Friday afternoon at 1 p.m. Today's showing is a French film: “Merci Pour Le Chocolat.”

3. Farmers' market. The Newton Farmers' Market will set up at American Legion Post 440 today from noon - 5 p.m.

4. Go Tigers! The Newton North varsity field hockey team will face Framingham today in a home match at 3:45 p.m.
