Newton Community Pride To Distribute 2022 Micro Grants

Newton Community Pride is providing $10,000 toward their 2022 community micro grant commitment.

NEWTON, MA — Newton Community Pride (NCP) will open applications on October 1 for their second round of 2022 Community Micro Grants.

Newton Community Pride is providing $10,000 toward their 2022 community micro grant commitment. The spring 2023 application will open March 1 for a spring grant cycle.

Grants must align with the mission of NCP- to support arts and culture, public art, service and beautification in the Newton community.

Prior NCP grant recipients have included the Newton Piano Summit, Service Stars’
African Library Project, Newton PorchFest, Cappella Clausura Inc., Newton Theatre
Company, Suzuki School Faculty Holiday Concert, Jewish Arts Collaborative, and public art
murals in Newton Highlands and Nonantum.

Past micro grants have averaged between $700 and $1,000.

"Newton Community Pride believes strongly in providing seed money to support great ideas,
events and projects that enhance and impact our villages and build community,” NCP Executive Director Blair Lesser Sullivan said in a statement. “To many artists, small nonprofits and neighborhood groups, a little bit of financial support goes a long way. We look forward to supporting more local arts programming, public art, service and beautification projects.”
