NEWTON, MA — Newton Community Pride (NCP) has announced the recipients of the newly created Nancy Quint Schön Arts Scholarship.
Sponsored by Newton Community Pride in partnership with Newton artist and sculpture Nancy Schön, three students graduating this year from Newton North and Newton South are recipients of a $1,000 scholarship for their pursuit of art in higher education.
“I am delighted to foster the next generation of Newton artists by giving financial support to
students pursuing the arts after high school graduation,” Schön said in a statement. “These three students are particularly talented and passionate about their craft, and I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to support their creativity; and that brings me such joy.”
