Newton Coronavirus Count Continues To Slow
In the past week two more people died after testing positive for the virus, but that number is down from previous weeks.

NEWTON, MA — During the past week two more Newton residents died after contracting the coronavirus bringing the number of residents to have died so far to 118, according to city data this week. At least 766 residents have tested positive for the virus as of June 9.
Of those, about 320, or 42 percent are people living in a long-term care or assisted living facility in the city, according to officials.
The rate of infection to 100,000 people in Newton is at 836.17, according to state data.
