Newton Girls' Lemonade Stand Nets Over $200 for Charities
Proceeds from selling refreshments will go to help big cats and fight cancer.

For the second year in a row a Newton girl has set up a lemonade stand to raise money for her favorite charities, and this year she took in over $200.
Last year, Maggie Heberlein - then 8 years old - took in $156, which she gave to the Animal Rescue League of Boston. This year, she did even better, her father Todd said.
Maggie offered pink lemonade, apple cider, cider donuts, and chocolate chip cookies and raised $206.
She will donate proceeds to the and to the Prostate Cancer Foundation because her grandfather passed away from the disease last year, and National Geographic Big Cats Initiative due to her love of lions
