A resident put a piece of chiropractic equipment up for sale on Craigslist and a man contacted him wanting to buy it for $320. The seller got a check for $1,320 and the buyer called saying he had made out the check for $1,000 too much and asked the seller to send $1,000 by Western Union. The seller said he would wait for the check to clear, but the buyer started calling at all hours. The seller thought it was a scam and while he was at the police station report it, his phone rang and an officer took the call and said it sounded like it was from a call center. He advised the man not to send the money.
