Newton Police Log: Laptop Stolen, Woman Wanted for Stealing Liquor

Someone spray painted graffiti on a wall of the children’s pool at the Gath Pool, Newton Police reported.
A man said he left his backpack containing his laptop in his office on Nevada Street for an hour and when he returned the laptop was gone, Police said. The laptop has a security feature with GPS.

A Mayflower Road resident reported that someone entered his unlocked vehicle overnight, Police said.
July 2:
A Washington Street business reported someone fired two BBs at her home, Police said. One hit a glass entry door and the second hit a first-floor office window, damaging both.
A woman was spotted taking an item off the shelf at Mr. K’s Discount Wine and Spirits on Boylston Street and left without paying Police said. The woman bought a 12-pack with a credit card, and as she left she grabbed a bottle of Smirnoff Sorbet Lemon Vodka off the shelf. The 61-year-old Newton woman will be summonsed to court on charges of shoplifting by asportation.
Employees at Gath Pool reported fresh graffiti tagging at the pool, Police said. It was the second such incident this week.
