NEWTON, MA — The West Suburban YMCA has received multiple grants totaling more than $400,000 that will support the nonprofit’s health, social, and educational programs.
Throughout the month of August, the Y received private and public grant funding, which has had a "profound impact" on the Y’s 3,000 campers, 100 child care students, and members of all ages, the organization said.
“Our organization depends on the generosity of the community to maintain and enhance our programs, which have become a critical pandemic resource for youth development, recreation and social activity,” Jack Fucci, President and CEO of the West Suburban YMCA, said in a statement.
