Chestnut Hill resident receives architecture degree
Daniel Prager, of Chestnut Hill, recently graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga.
According to a press release from the school, Prager received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in architecture.
Three area residents receive degrees from Binghamton University
Newton residents Maggie Y Kwan and Michael Joseph Klausner as well as Chestnut Hill resident Max Jacob Beasley recently received degrees from Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY.

According to a press release from the school, Kwan received a Bachelor of Science degree in integrated neuro molecular track; Beasley received a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy politics and law; and Klausner received a Bachelor of Arts degree in biological sciences as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in management finance.
Several local residents named to Colgate University Dean's List
Three local residents were recently named to the Colgate University Dean's List for the spring 2012 semester.

The local students who made the list include: Newton resident Stephanie Elaine Hamilton, who is a senior studying art and art history; Chestnut Hill resident William Ogden Hunnewell, who is a senior studying Spanish and economics; and Waban resident William Maxwell Shames, who is a junior studying international relations.
According to a press release from the Hamilton, NY school, students must achieve a grade point average of 3.30 or higher while enrolled in four courses in order to make the list.
Newton student to study abroad in Shanghai
Newton resident Peter Aspinall, a junior at Union College, will be studying abroad at Fudan University in Shanghai, China this (fall) semester.
According to a press release from the Schenectady, NY school, Aspinall is a bioengineering major. While in China, he will be studying Chinese culture, civilization and language.
More than 60 percent of Union College students from all disciplines study abroad during their college career, the press release said.
Newton students honored at BC High
Two Newton students were recently recognized at an assembly for Boston College High School undergraduates.
According to a press release from the school, senior Benjamin Ethier won a "Certificat d’Honneur" in the National French Grand Concours Examination.
Sophomore Dominic Bosco won excellence awards in three subjects including Christian thought, geometry honors and Latin II honors. He also won the "Exelauno Latin II" award and a gold medal – Summa cum Laude – in the National Latin Exam.
