Police Log: Stolen Snowblower, Warrant Arrests

Police also responded to a couple reports of residential breaking and entering.

A man living on Albemarle Road claims his snowblower was stolen sometime Wednesday, despite the fact that it was chained to his garage door frame.

According to reports, the man told police he last saw the black snowblower around 8 a.m. Although the piece of equipment was locked with a pad lock, the garage door was open and the snow blower was visible from the street. When the man returned in the afternoon, the snow blower was gone, reports said. 

Police Respond to Two Apparent Break-Ins

According to reports, several police units responded to Oliver Road Wednesday after a woman returned home to find a window opened in her house. 

One of the home's ground-level windows had been broken sometime between noon and 2:45 p.m., police said, but nothing in the house appeared to be disturbed.

Police also responded to the 1100 block on Chestnut Street Wednesday for reports of a residental break-in. The victim told police someone entered the home between 7:25 a.m. and 3:06 p.m. and ransacked the living room and bedroom. Reports said that the alleged thief only took jewelery from the home. 

Two Men Arrested on Warrants

A Boston man was arrested yesterday after he turned himself in at , reports said.

Sheldon Basil Keck, 24, of 769 VFW Parkway, was wanted on a warrant for violation of a harassment order, police said. 

Police also arrested a Newton man on a warrant sometime Wednesday, reports said.

Jack Galvin, 39, of 94 Jewett St., was arrested on a warrant for assault and battery, police said.
