NEWTON, MA — Earlier this month a dog walker was out in Webster Woods with her client's dogs when she said she was attacked by man walking his dogs there off leash.

The woman called police and told them that just after 1 p.m. on June 2, she was walking the dogs, when she saw a man, she described as tall with white hair, and his German Shepherd and another dog. She said she's encountered them before and the dogs do not get along with hers, so she asked him to leash his dogs and stay away.

The two got in a heated argument, according to a police report, and woman said the man grabbed her by the arm. She kicked the man in the groin and then punched him in the face to get away, she told police. In the scuffle, police said the man dropped his phone, which they later found and held on to for evidence. The following day police asked the man what had happened.
