Runner Profile: Newtonville Man Running Boston Marathon to Raise Awareness for Rare Diseases

Marathon experience: First marathon

Reason for running: I'm running to raise awareness of rare diseases, and in particular to raise awareness around Hereditary Spastic Paraplegia, a rare disease that affects my niece/patient-partner Brianna.

Training tip: Heartbreak Hill seems less intimidating if you live in Newtonville and end up training on it during almost every training run.
