Strange Man Walks Through Back Yard Where Young Girl Was Playing

A father saw the man in the yard of his Newton home, having walked from through the front yard, the side yard and then into the back yard, Newton Police said. 

He thought that was odd because the house on Morton Street is on a corner and has large hedges around the sides.

The man did not try to talk to the girl or approach her. When the father tried to speak to the man he just kept walking, Police said. He ran up Morton Street toward Commonwealth Avenue.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his early 20s, with a medium complexion, medium build and short dark hair. He was about 5-foot-8 and wore a white, long-sleeved button down shirt and possibly blue jeans. The father also described the man as looking disheveled.
