Chet Jackson Named Next North Andover High School Principal

Jackson is the current assistant principal at NAHS.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA - Chester "Chet" Jackson, a familiar face, at North Andover High School will be the school's next principal, Superintedent of Schools Jennifer Price announced on Tuesday.

Price didn't have to go far to find Jackson. He is currently the assistant principal for academics at the high school. Jackson has been at the high school since 2007. Before coming to North Andover, Jackson was a math teacher at the Greater Lawrence Technical High School.

"I was particularly impressed with Chet’s ability to reflect on how this new position will allow him to make important changes to move NAHS forward," wrote Price in the email to parents.

In his resume, Jackson says he received a master's degree of educational administration from the UMass Lowell, a master's of education from Fitchburg State University, and a bachelor's degree in finance from Boston College Class of 1997.

Jackson was one of three finalists, including Narragansett Middle School principal Peter Cushing and High School Administrator of Teaching and Learning in Salem, MA, Andrew Wulf, according to the Eagle-Tribune.

In a Tweet posted Tuesday night, Price wrote, "Thanks to so many for participating in the process.

Deborah Holman has been serving as interim principal since last June, replacing former principal Carla Scuzzarella, who moved to human resources before resigning and taking a principal/deputy director position at Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational High School in Wakefield, according to the Eagle-Tribune.
